This is my Draw-to-adopt portion of =Ebony-Inke's pony auction found here: [link] I am competing with ~Nomina-Difficile for this little baby. I can't wait to see what Nomina comes up with for her entry, I bet it will be amazing, her work is adorable.
Name: Finis

Species: Spirit Feeder
Biography:
Finis is a subspecies of pony called a spirit feeder. They require the consumption of souls to survive. They are rarely found and are often a subject of myth, such as "The Mare on The Moon" and "The Headless Horse".
Finis was found by a stallion named Shade Essence, as an orphaned infant. Shade Essence brings Finis to his secluded home in the Firelight Woods and raises her. At first it was a difficult ordeal, though he quickly helps her learn to survive. To continue living she requires soul consumption; with this knowledge Shade teaches her to mourn the life of every soul she steals to sustain her own existence.
Finis looks up to Shade as both a friend and as a father-figure. Because of this connection, and her lack of connection with society, she is very protective over Shade. One day, Finis happens to overhear a terrible conversation between Shade and Shiner, one of the local griffons. With the conversation's details leading to her life being in danger, Finis runs. After the initial fear wears off, she finds herself overcome with rage. Shade, the only pony she could ever care about, planned to betray her; to hurt her. With this thought in her head, she decides to lash out and strike first. She returns, deaf to reason, taking his soul and sealing it withing a tiny vial . In a panic, Finis flees the Firelight Woods.
With her finally out in the real world she realizes just how loathed and hated her kind is. Learning she is a "monster", she begins to harden her heart; to protect herself. Never being one to stay very long in a given place, she finds herself settling in the Everfree Forest, just on the edge of a small town, Ponyville. She is still accompanied by Shade's soul. Though at this point she isn't sure if she keeps it to prevent him from ever reaching peace or if she keeps it because of her loneliness.
